Tea Tree Oil for Lice

Tea Tree Oil for Lice Have you tried tea tree oil for lice? I have use tea tree oil to repel lice and it works! I apply a dab behind each ear and at the nape of the neck to each of my children before school. It's just that simple. So, when the yearly lice outbreak came last year, my daughter was the only one in her kindergarten class who did not get lice. How easy is that? A tip for some.  I’ve heard tea tree oil works for ticks, too. When applied to body folds like back of knees, elbows and any areas you might fold. Try it and see if it works.  Since we don’t have that problem here, I won't be able to try it myself. Nail biting

Image
Nail biting - 09.27 It makes little sense to prohibit such behavior boy and his even punish them. Our three year old son started going to kindergarten, and every now and then I catch him now as nail-biting.Doing it since childhood, but now it's much worse. His nails look terrible. Can you explain why some people bite nails and what to do to son since helped to get this bad habit? Psyche of every human being has a certain inner tension. This tension usually increases in situations of increased workload and stress. If it reaches an unbearable extent, the organism seeks an outlet to relax tensions. Release accumulated tension may take the form of inappropriate physical activity. Recall the situation difficult  school examinations. Some people when it must tap their feet, others scratched his head and stroking her hair. When the nail-biting and other neurotic habits, such as e.g. hair twisting, pulling or rubbing ears at different ...

51 Fantastic Uses for Baking Soda

Image
51 Fantastic Uses for Baking Soda I don’t mean to sound seditious here, but I have a rebellious plan to combat the ills that many corporations are perpetrating in the name of fighting grime and germs. My main gripe is about the environmental pollutants from cleaning and personal care products that we wash down our drains and into our water systems, resulting in situations like the chemical  triclosan  (a pesticide added to many products as an antibacterial agent) being found in  dolphins . So the simple plan is to encourage everyone to use baking soda in any of these 51 applications. Besides showing kindness to aquatic life, we can also protect ourselves from the array of toxins in household cleaning products. Conventional cleansers can expose us to multiple chemicals linked to asthma, cancer and other documented health problems. Baking soda also makes a perfect stand-in for many personal care products, which are adding their own twist to th...

Understanding the truth behind these myths will help you to make lifestyle changes that will allow you to keep the weight off for good. Liquid Diets Work People tout the benefits of liquid diets. They talk about how they cleanse your body, and how they help you to lose weight. These claims are misleading at best. Your body may lose a few pounds because of this diet. MAKE YOUR OWN ANTIBACTERIAL SOFT SCRUB CLEANSER I have been so excited  about this post I could hardly wait for today to come! That is either a sign that it’s a really great idea…or that I really need to get a life! lol. Either way…I think you are going to LOVE this one! Once again, I had to ask myself…why haven’t I thought to try something like this before!?!  I really have no good answer for that. I guess I wasn’t a big user of Soft Scrub to begin with…so it didn’t really occur to me to make a homemade version of it. But now that I have TRIED the homemade version….I’m a FAN! I think you will be too. A big “Thank You” to  Emily  at  Live Renewed  for sharing this homemade solution I never knew I always wanted to try! :-) Before I tell you how to make it…I’m going to have to  eat my words on any past disparaging remarks I have made about liquid castile soap. A couple of things I’ve tried in the past that I didn’t particularly like invo...

Get Fit and Stay Fit While Losing Weight

Get Fit and Stay Fit While Losing Weight For many people, choosing a healthy diet and exercise plan is not about weight loss alone. You may be striving for a healthier life, a fit life. Getting fit and staying fit are great ways to lengthen your life, improve your mood, and keep yourself healthy.  To get fit, and stay fit, follow the following guidelines: 1. Focus on Lifestyle Changes:  Fitness is not a temporary solution to a short term problem. It is a series of lifestyle choices, leading up to an overall lifestyle change. As you begin your journey into weight loss, focus on the fact that you are developing a healthy body for a lifetime, not just a skinnier body right now. This will help you to see the big picture, and enable you to stay strong through diet difficulties. 2. Adjust Your Diet:  Adjust your diet plan until you find one that is both healthy and livable. For example, if you hate salad, and design a diet plan focused on eating a big salad at lunch and dinner...

ALL NATURAL, INEXPENSIVE, SKIN & HAIR PRODUCT REPLACEMENTS

Image
DIY Hair & Skin Products THE 10 BEST ALL NATURAL, INEXPENSIVE, SKIN & HAIR PRODUCT REPLACEMENTS Over the past 3 or 4 years I've slowly been transitioning to a more natural lifestyle. I admit I haven't completely given up my store bought products, but by switching between them and homemade, I find I keep my skin, hair, and wallet much happier. SHAMPOO: BAKING SODA Skip the shampoo with parabens, sulfates, and toxins (your scalp absorbs these!) and instead try a paste of baking soda and water. The combination of baking soda followed by a vinegar rinse (below) is extremely clarifying and for anyone who uses styling products it's a great way to wash all that crap out. I use about a tablespoon of baking soda in a small bowl, and mix enough water to make a paste that's spreadable but not so wet that it slides out of your hair. I then pour the paste on top of my wet hair, and massage it into my scalp as much as possible. The baking soda will not l...
