Antiperspirant Concerns
The human bodies do have some areas where it can eliminate
toxins everyday. You will notice a few key areas start sweating like behind the
knees, armpits, areas that touched skin and are hidden like the groin area when
you are active. In fact, the whole body perspires when working out really hard.
The purpose of sweating is to eliminate Toxins out of our body to clean up and
it is good for us. I believe so.
Antiperspirants, as the name suggests, prevents armpit from
perspiring greatly; thereby releasing bad odors as Bacteria on the skin breaks
down. If it is the case, where would the sweat go? If antiperspirant stops the
sweating, what would happen to our sweat glands at that moment? Would our body absorb
it back or accumulate the sweat or toxins right on the skin? If our body
absorbs the sweat back, where would it go? There has to be a place for the
sweat to stay. Is it possible to accumulate the toxins in our system? All of my
questions have no answer for me. It is only my curiosity that fired all the
questions. Would it be a possibility that using antiperspirant is like
inhibiting the body to eliminate toxins through the armpits and store it
somewhere else as these toxins do not magically vanish like magic, I am sure. It
would be good if the sweat that was supposed to be eliminated will find a
different route in order to eliminate?
Okay, maybe sweating is not the only way of eliminating toxins
and it doesn’t cause cancer. Rubbing antiperspirant in our skin is like coating
it with toxins unless it is made of good natured mixture. There have been some
concerns regarding Antiperspirant that works through an active ingredient
containing some form of aluminum compound. There are some health concerns
regarding the use of products with aluminum. For years many have suspicion that
antiperspirant will cause breast cancer and is possible. This has not been
proven and has been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) but can
you trust the FDA? Some are still concerned
and should be for no concrete answer is given for this subject. I would be concern and made a decision that no
antiperspirant will ever touch my armpit. When I sweat, the odors do linger
around but it is not that bad and is bearable as fainting never occurred. I suspect
the kind of food consumed has something to do with the smell as it started just
recently. My plan would be to find that out one day.
Most breast cancers occur in the upper outside quadrant of
the breast area in women.
Women who shave to create a feminine look end up rubbing
antiperspirant on the skin. Women, who apply antiperspirant after shaving underarms,
may increase the risk due to tiny injuries and skin irritations which make
harmful chemical components to penetrate more quickly into the body.
Men may develop breast cancer too. Men applied antiperspirant
directly on the hair of armpit than on skin as they don’t shave. Maybe that
helps men less likely to develop breast cancer. Men are not exempted from
breast cancer as I know some men who had it.
I know some people would not be concern about antiperspirant
because sweating profusely is embarrassing. If you are concern about your
health, then you should be concern about antiperspirant. Washing with soap and
water would be a good alternative. Dry your armpit thoroughly before covering
the area. Changing one’s diet may be of help to reduce odor. What do you think?
